Lynn Pescherine, LMSW

Lynn Pescherine, LMSW is a psychotherapist at The Center for CBT in NYC. Lynn received her MSW at Fordham University.

Lynn has expereince helping clients navigate the tricky experience of making career and life transitions. She especially enjoys working with clients who are feeling stuck in their relationships, careers or with their self defeating thoughts. While Lynn has extensive training in working with clients questioning their goals, dreams and motivations she also has personal experience. Following her natural draw to help others she boldly decided to leave her 20 year career in a coorporate firm to dedicate herself to guiding people to break through their personal blocks.

In addition to helping people move through developmental and life stages, Lynn has experience working with parents and families of children and teens struggling with mental illness. Lynn has a keen ability to understand and help parents navigate feelings of hopelessness and helplessness that can arise when their child is struggling.

Lynn enjoys using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

She has experience working with people struggling with depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, job stress, family and relationships, and LGBTQIA+ and gender identity issues.

Lynn uses a strengths-based approach guided by her belief that everyone can achieve a life of abundance and possibility.

Lynn was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, where her love of cooking, baking, and all things food was deeply ingrained in her. She has lived in New York or San Francisco for most of her adult life, and considers New York her home. Lynn is an avid road cyclist, happiest on her bike, climbing the biggest hill she can find. Lynn is also a former triathlete and marathon runner.
